10/1/13 - Destination: Provincetown

What can you say about Cape Cod? We had beautiful, warm weather. The traffic was light and the tourists were gone.

I'll let the photos speak for themselves....

Cranberry bogs, and wild swans surrounded our camp ground
A pair of wild swans
Cranberries being  "wet harvested"
Hyannis Port
John F. Kennedy Memorial Park

The Pilgrim Memorial, Provincetown.  They landed on Cape Cod in November, 1620, then continued on to Plymouth a month later.
Provincetown...note the LACK of people!
The beautiful harbor at Provincetown
Another shot of the harbor
Suddenly, October 1 took on new meaning! Maybe this is why there weren't many people...Thank you Mr. Boehner
But even Congress can't close a coastline. The end of the cape.
Stacy at the end
Jack at the end
And two hardy souls who are obviously trying to end it all. BRRRR!
And, at the end of the day, home sweet home.

  1. Beautiful pics! It looks like the trees are adding a bit of color. Love the cranberries!
