It is pretty easy to do a multi-state tour around here...none of the states are very big. The point at which we crossed New Hampshire was only 30-40 miles wide.
Vermont and New Hampshire are beautiful, lush, and feel "REAL". We stopped for a picnic lunch along a beautiful lake (don't remember the name). The loons were calling, the sun was shining, it was quiet and serene.

Another great thing we did in Vermont was to visit the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory! It is whimsical and fun, and the employees have a great time at work. Did you know that each employee is entitled to up to 3 pints of FREE B & J's every day they work. Don't know about their other benefits, but that's cool in my book! Ben and Jerry actually sold their business to some big corporation several years ago, but they are both on the board of directors, and were able to ensure the business remained as a sort of independent entity.

There is also the Flavor Graveyard, complete with tombstones and epitaphs. This is where discontinued flavors go to their final reward.
"High on a Vermont hill there's a graveyard that's haunted
by the ghosts of old flavors that nobody wanted"
The leaves are just starting to turn here, the days are warm but the nights are getting cooler. We think the Northeast is magical!
